Ingredients

  1. Mix all dry ingredients together except the Italian bread crumbs
  2. Once fully combined, add the water to the dy ingredients
  3. Mix everything well until you have a smooth batter
  4. Slice pickles into quarters, and then dip them into your batter
  5. Let excess batter drip off the pickles, and now put the pickles slices into the Italian bread crumbs and coat very well
  6. Place your pickles onto a cooling rack, and repeat this process until all pickles are coated
  7. Heat your oil for frying to 350 degrees F, and deep fry your pickles until golden brown. This takes 2 to 3 minutes.
  8. Remove from hot oil and place pickles a paper grocery bag to let excess oil be removed from pickles
  9. Enjoy with your choice of favorite dipping sauce. I use a thick mayo based sauce for this.

  1. My dad used to deep fry pickles when I was little and so I am so happy that I was able to come across this recipe. I had no idea that there the ingredients were so simple and not as complex as I thought it would be. However, what type of pickles would you suggest using? There are so many different flavors and so that is why I am asking that.

    1. Hi there, any type of pickle you want to use, try it out. I’ve used many, and hae never had a problem. If your pickles are a bit more dry when you coat them, you’ll have
      a better job, also a more firm pickle will work better than those that come in the really large jars and basically fall apart when you cut into them. Thanks for watching 🙂
